Freelance Writing Services

Knowing I wanted to be a writer before I could physically put pen to paper (I would dictate to my mom what I wanted her to write down), I started shaping my career in journalism as early as high school as the editor of the school paper. While attending Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa., I interned at both The Morning Call in Allentown and Seventeen Magazine in Manhattan. Following graduation, I completed a long-term internship with the now-defunct Best Life Magazine, a sister publication to Men’s Health, and was then offered and accepted a position with Backpacker Magazine.
After moving back to the Philadelphia area, where I grew up, I took a position as senior associate editor with a trade publication in the eyecare industry called EyeCare Business Magazine, all the while also continuing to build my freelance career with submissions to a variety of magazines. In 2007, I launched a full-time freelance career and haven’t looked back since. Though I enjoyed the steady life of an editor, my passion has been the writing side of the work and I love the variety that the freelance life affords me. I feel as though I have written a little bit of everything over the last 10+ years. My work has appeared in many publications including Better Homes & Gardens, Men’s Health, Today’s Dietitian, Pet Product News, Hospitals & Health Networks, and Pregnancy to name just some.
I have also enjoyed writing content for marketing materials, blogs, and websites for clients which have included Nutrisystem, Bank of America, The South Beach Diet, and Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital, among many others. Whether I'm writing direct content or working on a magazine article, I'm passionate about bringing words to life.
